How does the Moisture Renewal Mask differ from Bel Mondo’s Ultra-Hydrating Mask?
The formula for our new mask utilizes a different preservative system, incorporates new moisturizing compounds, and contains no artificial fragrances.
Why are these differences important?
The skin of cancer-care patients is extremely dry and sensitive, typically accompanied by redness, itching, and burning. It was essential to create a formula that could thoroughly hydrate and soothe compromised skin – without the slightest risk of irritation.
The preservatives (and preservative boosters) selected – 1,2 hexanediol, ethylhexyglycerin, and hydroacetophenone – are multi-functional; they provide broad spectrum antimicrobial protection as well as humectant, antioxidant, and anti-irritant benefits. They are glycolic compounds produced synthetically to near purity, meaning they greatly reduce potential for exposure to allergens.
This is not to say that our existing product line poses the risk of undesirable side-effects for healthy skin. (In fact, we have six years of market data that proves otherwise.) Our new mask is for a very specific target audience, and therefore we needed to account for likely/potential sensitivities.
What are the new moisturizers?
There are three new moisturizing ingredients/compounds that are not used in other Bel Mondo masks. These are Pentavitin, PRODEW 600, and Green Caviar Sea Grape. Pentavitin is a potent hydrator that can also help maintain the skin’s natural moisture barrier. PRODEW is a rich, amino-acid compound formulated with Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) components. It also draws moisture to skin. Green Caviar Sea Grape is a nutrient-rich algae extract; it enhances the skin’s natural moisture content and improves elasticity.
Apply a small amount of the product to clean, dry skin. Massage gently until fully absorbed. Use daily for best results.
